I am so pumped about this year! There is something special about the start of a new school year; meeting new kiddos, getting to know new families and making MANY memories with each and every student! Just like every year there are a million things on my to do list, multiple "worries" and a few "can I do this?" moments. But like every year everything comes together and ALWAYS works out.
I went up to school yesterday and did my final walk through and made sure plans were ready (for at least Monday & Tuesday) and I must say I felt a calm, peacefulness about this week. I am ready!
Here's the view from the door.
Reading corner and writing station
A close up of my reading corner.
I'm liking this new writing center. ;)
Mailboxes, word work drawer to the left and math station tubs below the table.
Student book boxes with my new black & bright number labels.
(They're in my shop as a freebie!)
Calendar, Ten Frames and Odd & Even numbers from Reagan's Facebook freebie!
I'm excited to have new class jobs this year! I especially LOVE the Melonheadz :)
This product is currently marked down through the weekend.
Family pics are a MUST.
One thing I forgot to show when I scoped about this was my outdoor flexible learning space. Students are able to come out into the hallway during Daily 5 or math stations. It makes the classroom a LOT less crowded and gives students some independence. And an opportunity to make good choices. ;)
Locker tags are my new favorite!
I LOVE seat sacks. They have been a lifesaver for me this past year. Since my students don't have desks, these are easy to grab items from and they hold a few folders and journals.
This is my teaching area, my easel (two sided), chair and doc cam.
I love having the word wall right behind me during small groups and to the right I'll be hanging my "word helpers" posters on the cabinets.
I can't wait to update you all after a few weeks once the class has been "lived in" and we have anchor charts and student work hanging, it'll be a lot cuter then!
I scoped my classroom reveal and if you'd like to see a more detailed look you can check it out here.
Thanks for stopping by, please leave a comment I love hearing from you guys!
Good luck on your first week... and remember
THEY MAY FORGET WHAT YOU SAID BUT THEY WILL NEVER FORGET HOW YOU MADE THEM FEEL!
Have a great school year my friends!

I would like to thanks the author for sharing this wonderful post.
