Incentives, bulletins & a freebie! Oh my!

Hi friends, I'm back today with a little mix of what's been happening!

I have been having a blast in our writer's workshop and seeing my new second graders soar in their writing!  I had to get our bulletin ready to display our work for all to see!

I just adore our new name clips!

We've also started our new incentive program!!  We began this year with filling each other's buckets!  I'm sure you all have heard of this from the story Have You Filled a Bucket Today?

After we got the idea, we started working on filling our buckets by doing kind things for others, being the mystery walker or any other behavior rewards to earn a "fuzzy".  I have talked about fuzzies a lot in my blog you can check it out here.  I got this fabulous idea from Seusstastic!!  She is amazing!  I have been using the fuzzy reward system for three years now and I love it!  She had a great idea; once the students earned so many fuzzies, they would earn a coupon with an award on it.  My small problem with that, is sometimes I wouldn't get my coupons back and I just hated keeping up with the students turning them in.  So the reward bracelet was born!

After the student earns 20 fuzzies they can trade them in for a reward bracelet! Once they get a bracelet they can take home and leave it.  That way mom and dad see what they can bring the following day and I don't have to worry about anything after that!

So here's how it works...

I also shared my parent letter explaining each reward and what is expected.

My students loved them!!

Here are some rewards in action!

If they choose "stinky feet" they can take their shoes off during the day (while we're in class).

Fluffy friend gets to sit at their desk all day!  And they get to take them during daily 5!

This little reward program is so easy to use and my students really work hard to earn warm fuzzes!  If you'd like to try them out just click here, they're free!!

And as always if you download, please leave me some love!

Have a great weekend!
